Valley Bloom Collection Drive: April 19th
Clothing, Accessories and Housewares
On Sunday, April 19th, Saint Matthew’s will be collecting items to support Valley Bloom. This all-volunteer nonprofit organization, which is just around the corner from the church, runs a thrift shop that sells gently used items. Then they use the proceeds to (1) purchase new clothing for thousands of school children identified as in need by our local school districts, (2) create Care Kits for our local first responders and hospitals, and (3) assist local senior citizens with comfort visits and activities.
April is a great time for spring cleaning! Please bring your gently-used items in a trash bag, box, or other container.
The most needed items are:
Jewelry
Men’s, women’s, and children’s gently used clothing and accessories
Housewares (no furniture please)
Books and games for children and young adults
We will have several vehicles in the parking lot before and after each service on April 19th to collect your donations. Valley Bloom has a remarkable group of hardworking and dedicated community members who put caring and commitment into action, as we do here at Saint Matthew’s.
Monetary donations can be made via check (note: Valley Bloom in the memo line) or online at the following link. Thank you for your support!
